Pronouncing the name of this badlands area takes some practice.
The photos speak for themselves - a dreamlike photo location:
bizarre shapes, colorful hoodoos and some more.
After rain, however, it is a muddy desert to be avoided.
Best photo time: afternoon to sunset.

Directions:

Coming from Farmington Hwy. 64 to Bloomfield.
In Bloomfield turn right onto Hwy. 550 south - at N36°42'40,1" - W107°59'04,9"
after approx. 30 mi turn right onto Hwy. 57-west - at N36°21'35,2" - W107°48'34,9"
Attention: on the first 1.5 mi of the 57 there are wheel-sized holes in the asphalt!
Attention: the 57 is impassable after rain!

(up to here it is possible without 4WD - to point 2. it is only 300ft)
2. trailhead 1: N36°08'52,1" - W107°55'09,1"
3. trailhead 2, if you want to drive closer to the main group -
at trailhead 1, follow the trail to the left until: N36°08'53.8" - W107°55'30.8"
4. yellow main group, from TH 2 only 220ft away at: N36°09'03.1" - W107°55'53.3"
5. Yellow group on the other wash side: N36°09'35.5" - W107°56'11.9"
