All the way from Hwy.89

A HC-4WD is absolutely necessary - blithely give full throttle in sand!
This basic equipment is mandatory:
Shovel, long tow rope, saw, hatchet, plenty of water and cookies!
Driving time from Page: a good 2 hours

Directions:

From Page, take Hwy.89 (towards Kanab) onto House Rock Valley Road.
After 4 mi you cross the Buckskin Wash, which is often muddy,
after 8,5 mi you pass the parking lot Wave,
After about 20 mi from Hwy.89 turn left onto Corral Valley Road 1017.
After about 3 mi - junction - here we turn left onto Road 1066
After another 6 mi you reach the Powerty Flat Area
a decayed ranch with oil derrick can be seen.
Here we keep left on 1082 - about 1 mi to the 90° junction to the right
after another mile we are at the trailhead
heading northwest we reach the main CBS group after about 1 mi.

If you want to get from the CBS to the White Pocket, you can take the shortcut Road 1323.
But this road is very sandy, so a lot of full throttle is necessary.
Especially the last mi before Road 1086 is horrible - but it's downhill there, which gives additional
thrust - in this respect also problem-free.
Only the other way round, i.e. driving up this hill, I think is brave!
This is not necessary, because you will take the road 1086 etc. back.
For those who are afraid, it is recommended to drive back from the CBS to Road 1017
and then take the route via Road 1087/1086!
