We did a 6 hour hike in the Paria River Canyon.
It was very warm, 30° in the shade, but there was hardly any shade.
but with the dry air there it is quite bearable.
We walked 3 hrs. down the canyon and 3 hrs.
back on the trail on top of the eastern canyon rim.
(11 mi round trip and 1100 ft elevation).
At the end of Sept. the water level was so low that one could master the many
crossings could be mastered without problems.
