The hike to Phipps-Arch in Phipps Wash from Hwy.12
is round trip 9 mi long with 1000 ft height.
It is a very nice hike with many photo motives.
You park at Hwy.12 in the bend directly after the MM71 (coming from Escalante)
and go right down the wash.
Follow it to the Phipps Massif.

On the way there are several Dry Falls, one is about 120 ft high.
All of them are easy to circumvent.
A photogenic variant is available on the way back:
from the point "Weggabelung" you can walk through the right canyon
which is not a detour, but still brings nice photos!
