The directions Alstrom Point is an evening location - it is sufficient to be there 1 hr before sunset. The drive from Page takes about 2.5 hrs. A 4WD vehicle is advantageous, but really only necessary on the last mile, which you could also walk if necessary. . . Approach from Page on the 89 to Big-Water, there the first road right and after 500ft right again - out of town, downhill, through the wash and then blithely on according to my GPS points. If you don't have a 4WD, it's best to park at point 10 and walk about 20 min to the Alstrom point.
