Hike in the Yant Flats area near St. George at the end of Sept.
The approach from Leeds is easy even for normal cars.
The hike provided endless photo opportunities - I can only show a few here.
Length of the hike: 8 km with a total elevation gain of 370 meters.
All pictures have the GPS data in the Exif.

The Yant Area

is located west of Leeds, which can be found on the I-15, just north of St. George.

The way there including the GPS data:
Exit I-15 in Leeds, go straight through the town for about 1.6 mi.
until the road turns left at a right angle, under the highway.
From here it is called “Silver Reed Road”. Later it is called Oak Grove Road.
The paved road turns to sand after about 1.5 mi (from the highway bridge).
About 3.1 mi from the highway bridge, keep left at the turnoff.
From there, it is about 7.1 mi to the parking lot.
From the trailhead to the descent is about 1.5 mi.
In Yantfield, you then walk around for about 3 mi, sometimes up and down a good bit.
