Directions
From Page take Hwy.89 towards Kanab. After MP 17 turn right onto Cottonwood Canyon Road. We follow this dirt road for 14 mi - here the Brigham Plain Road on the right - and park on a sandy area on the right. From the parking area, we cross the road and walk across the brush to cross Cottonwood Creek.
Then we turn left for a short distance and reach a rocky and reach a rocky cut, where a very steep trail leads upwards. At the top, halfway to the left, you can already see the Massif "Yellow Rock", which we reach after another 20 min. Up to the top of the YR there are 800 ft to climb. Duration of the ascent is about 1 hour.
For photographers: late afternoon is the best time! The colors become intense and the contrast is enhanced. Simply a dream location! For the way back a walking stick and a flashlight are helpful!
