Hike to Yellow Rock - from Paria River

This route is much more photogenic than the normal direct ascent from the CCR,
about 17.5 mile with a good 900 ft of altitude - directions below.

From Page take Hwy. 89 towards Kanab.
After about 25 mi at 37.06.17.8 - 111.50.48.6 turn right onto Cottonwood Canyon Road.
After about 16 mi turn left at 37.13.26.0 - 111.55.30.5.
After 300 ft, park at 37.13.28.0 - 111.55.39.1.
Follow the wash uphill to the
Climb up to the right at 37.14.13.9 - 111.56.19.8.

At first you walk on a highly visible trail, but it soon gets lost.
Then you always head toward the following intermediate points, if you can
bypassing the heights, although the best views can be enjoyed from there!
Intermediate point-1: 37.14.38,1 - 111.56.24,0
Intermediate point-2: 37.14.32,4 - 111.56.19,4
Intermediate point-3: 37.14.24,1 - 111.56.08,3
Intermediate point-4: 37.14.41,9 - 111.55.52,6
Intermediate point-5: 37.15.14,6 - 111.55.45,5
Intermediate point-6: 37.15.19,1 - 111.55.35,1
The destination, Yellwo Rock, can then be seen from ZP-6 . .  .
After exploring the YR one can
take the direct steep descent to the CCR
and walk back to the car in the CCR valley,where one can walk well beside the wash.
If a second car is available, one can shorten the way back in the valley.
